Many of these specialty clinics are referral only - students
are seen only when referred by a Health Service practitioner.
You must call to make an appointment after being referred.
Allergy Shots
Specialty Clinics are available for patients who need storage
and administration of allergy vaccine or special injectable
medications. There is no charge for the storage and administration
of these shots. However, you will need to provide your own
serum and instructions from your allergist/personal physician.
You must allow for a 20 minute observation period for potential
allergic reactions after receiving your shot.
Immunizations and TB Skin Tests
Immunizations must be ordered by the Health Service staff.
In addition to the vaccinations and the TB skin test required
for matriculation, influenza and travel
immunizations are also available. There is a charge for
the cost of each immunization.
Orthopedics

- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
This clinic is staffed by orthopedic residents from Evanston
Hospital under the supervision of attending orthopedic surgeons
from Evanston Hospital. Follow-up care after an Emergency
Room visit can often be done at the Health Service. Call to
set up an appointment.
Surgery

- Monday at 8:00 a.m.
- Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
The Surgery Clinic is staffed by an attending general surgeon
from Evanston Hospital who evaluates patients and may recommend
procedures. Treatment may be provided at the Health Service
or Evanston Hospital. Post surgical care may be received at
the Health Service. Surgery Clinic is staffed by Richard Berk,
MD.
Wart Clinic
- Hours are by appointment by calling 847 491-2204
- Every other Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon;
every other Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Routine hand and foot warts are treated by a Nurse Practitioner.
No referral is needed.
